Identified as one of the companies with the potential to lead the ecological transition, Rubber Conversion participated in the ECOMONDO trade fair where its Chief Operating Officer Mr. Giuseppe Magistrale presented innovative and co-development project Life Green Vulcan.
Promoted under the EU’s funding instrument for the environment and climate action “the LIFE Programme”, Life Green Vulcan project gathered a consortium to bring the prominent solution to the market. Lead by an innovative SME Innovando Srl, company that offers cutting-edge management services for post-production and post-consumption waste and integrated solutions aligned with the Extended Producer Responsibility framework, this project’s consortium is balanced with the participation of SMEs, large enterprises and academies, covering the whole supply-chain on the applications targeted. The partners of the project are Bridgestone, Centro Ricerche FIAT, Stellantis, University of Trento and Rubber Conversion.
During the 3rd day of ECOMONDO exhibition, the project Life Green Vulcan was presented with the title “High performance devulcanized masterbatches for End-of-Life Tire reuse in high-volume technical compounding applications”. Having the sustainability at the center of medium-long term strategies of all stakeholders, an overview with the challenges of the raw materials sector has been presented, along with the mechanical-chemical devulcanization process.
